Exploring Germany was one of the most incredible experiences in my life. This country has a lot to offer. And to be honest, I underestimated how much.
Immediately when I started planning the perfect vacation in Germany, I understood the impossible task of squeezing all my must-visit places into a 12-day trip, especially considering that they were scattered throughout the country. Eventually, I had to let go and save some of them for the next time. Nevertheless, there were so many unforgettable travel experiences in Germany. Here are some of them:
- walking through amazing cities (Frankfurt, Hamburg, Schwerin, Bremen) and visiting must-see attractions there,
- exploring the fairytale castles of Bavaria,
- tasting delicious German cuisine and culinary delights,
- adventure and outdoor activities in Germany (Königssee Lake Ferry Boat Tour and other experiences in the area, hiking in Schwangau),
- exploring Germany’s picturesque towns and villages (Füssen, Schönau am Königssee).
I will share more about these special moments in my next posts. Make sure to follow my blog if you don’t want to miss them. In the meantime, here are a few more words about the necessities for an unforgettable German vacation.
Friendly people, delicious food and breathtaking views are a perfect combination for a successful trip. And Germany has it all.
On my trip, people were nice and helpful. Almost everybody understood and spoke English, so communication was easy and stress-free. Food in Germany is excellent in quality and quantity. I truly enjoyed it! And if you are hunting for the best scenery, I would love to recommend the south of the country. For me, the most spectacular part of the German vacation was stunning Bavaria with its crystal clear turquoise lakes, magnificent Bavarian Alps, lush green meadows and cozy German towns and villages.
However, this part of the country is the most expensive. So, if you are planning a budget-friendly trip to Germany, consider staying in off-the-beaten-path towns and villages. For me, such a hidden gem was the very cozy and picturesque town of Füssen. I wish I could stay there longer. And in general, Germany left me desiring to explore more.
